COVID-19 Update from TAC

Dear Friends,

In response to the COVID-19 crisis and in consideration of the health and safety of our volunteers, artists, and patrons, TAC has taken the following measures:

Gallery Hours

Effective Saturday, March 14, TAC suspended gallery hours until further notice.  Currently, we expect to be closed at least through the month of April.  We will continue to coordinate with future exhibiting artists to reschedule  any events impacted by a prolonged shutdown.

The 5×5 Show and Sale

We are continuing to assess the impact the crisis may have on our upcoming 5×5 Fundraiser, currently scheduled to open May 1.  We know many artists have picked up canvases and are using this time of social distancing to create amazing new works.

At this time, we have not cancelled the event, but expect the opening of the 5×5 could be delayed.  We are considering many options, all of which depend on how the situation evolves and the advice of health officials.

We will continue to monitor the situation and have tentatively set April 15 as a date to announce a revised calendar / plan for the year.  Updates will be posted here.

Thank you for your continued support.  So many of our neighbors are impacted by this crisis and we hope you will continue to support them, however possible, as well.

About TAC

The Tulsa Artists’ Coalition (TAC) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization of artists and art supporters, formed to encourage and support emerging and established contemporary artists, and to foster the development of new forms and multidisciplinary work in Tulsa and surrounding communities. TAC is supported through grants, art sales, and membership dues.

The TAC Gallery

Long ago, TAC decided that the best way to support artists was to provide them with a venue to display quality, contemporary art—especially work which may not otherwise have a home in a traditional commercial gallery. As a result, we created the TAC Gallery, which since 1996 has resided in its current location in the heart of downtown Tulsa’s Arts District.

Each year, the TAC Gallery hosts approximately eleven month-long shows by artists in a variety of media and 1-2 group shows.

TAC Membership

We consider memberships to be our most important means of support. As a member of TAC, you are an instrumental part of our mission and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to support contemporary art and artists in Tulsa. To find out more about memberships, CLICK HERE.
