The Tulsa Artists’ Coalition is pleased to present the photography exhibit of “Abstraction Through Landscape” by Libby Williams. The public will have the opportunity to meet the artist at the opening reception on Friday April 4, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm. This exhibit remains up through Saturday, April 26th. The TAC Gallery is located at 9 East Brady, Tulsa. This event is free and open to the public and is part of the M. B. Brady Arts District’s First Friday Art Crawl.

“…I discovered an interest in making landscape paintings through direct observation and was surprised to discover how the combination of plein air and studio painting strengthened each other,” Williams stated. She added, “The paintings themselves are intimate in size and depict scenes of Tulsa and other places I have visited in the time leading up to this show.”

In March, Libby Williams had her Masters of Fine Arts thesis exhibit “Visual Fiction” at the University of Tulsa’s School of Art in the Alexandre Hogue gallery. The public will be able to visit Williams studio as part of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition’s Tulsa Art Studio Tour, April 12-13, 2014, from noon until 5p.m.
