The Tulsa Artists’ Coalition invites artists to participate in our popular fundraiser, the “5×5 Show and Sale.”  This year’s event takes place on FRIDAY MAY 2, 2014 at 5:55pm at the TAC Gallery.

Each year, art buyers line up early outside the TAC Gallery for the opportunity to purchase their favorite 5” x 5” creation for $55.  At 5:55pm, we open the doors for the eager buyers and the fun begins!

Last year over 250 pieces were donated from artists around the region and across and country.  We are thrilled with the public’s response to this unique event—it not only provides the public with an opportunity to purchase quality, affordable art, it also gives the participating artists an opportunity to show off their talents to the thousands of art patrons who visit the Brady Arts District each month.

The 5×5 is TAC’s only fundraiser and the proceeds from the event allow us to continue to provide a space for emerging and established artists to display quality, contemporary art that may not otherwise be seen in Tulsa.

 

GUIDELINES:

TAC will provide participating artists with a 5”x5” canvas (while supplies last) or artists are welcome to use their own canvas or surface.  Canvases may be picked up at:

  • The TAC Gallery 9 East M.B. Brady, 918-592-0041, during gallery hours (above),
  • Ziegler’s Art Supplies 2217 E Admiral Blvd.(1 blk West of Lewis) 918-584-2217

For those living in the Oklahoma City area:

  • OVAC main office, 730 W. Wilshire Blvd, Suite 104 OKC, 405-879-2400.

We ask that the works be signed (and please print your name legibly on the back so we can give you credit for your work).  Donated works become the property of TAC.  Unsold art may be reclaimed by the artist for a $10 donation to cover the cost of the canvas.  Participating artists will receive 1 free entry to the opening event ($5.00 value).  Work may be disqualified if guidelines are not met.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION:

The finished work must be returned to the TAC Gallery no later than 9 pm, Saturday, April 26, 2014, to give our volunteers time to create an inviting and exciting show.  Be sure to include your name, address, email and phone number.  Pieces received after the deadline may not be included in the show.
