Candacee White

Artist Statement

I make art that reflects my varied experiences and travels. I seek to make complex, colorful scenes that evoke mystery, scenery, discovery.

With oil sticks, I like to experiment with creating abstracted, colorful scenes and images out of otherwise familiar content.

With collage, I attempt to create maps and landscapes of fantastic, imagined spaces.

Currently, I am exploring how the digital landscape can further my visual language. I want to push my work in a direction that can be translated into animated shorts and digital illustration.
