I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for. ~Georgia O'Keeffe Everyone has a story and each story is an expression of beauty. My distinct style or technique continues to evolve. Ghost Ranch and watercolor are a few of the change agents in my story. "Ghost Ranch is not a country of light in things, it's a country of things in light." Light and dark are usually are the focal points of a painting and of life and often are next to one another, sometimes creating friction. Painting reminds me to make space for the light. Chiaroscuro- Italian word for dark and light... and the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness cannot overcome it!
